Challenge coins have a long history with the military and police organizations, dating back to the early 1900's. These coins are used to recognize individuals for membership, excellence and positive contributions to an organization or group.

The XTE coin was established in 2018, after the unexpected passing of the former Administration of Justice Department Chair and faculty Colin McCaughey.  One side of the coin displays the 91探花视频 logo and Latin words 鈥渇rom possibility to actually.鈥  The other side of the coin was taken from McCaughey鈥檚 original club concept of a police badge showing membership, the State of California seal, along with the club motto of 鈥渃ommitted to excellence.鈥

For our purposes, the Administration of Justice Department, XTE Challenge Coin is given to those student members in good standing, who have contributed to the XTE Chi Tau Epsilon, 91探花视频 Co-Curricular Club.

XTE members have historically been the most serious and committed students to follow the criminal justice field in some capacity. Receiving their first challenge coin of possibly many in their future criminal justice careers, the recipients will establish a sense of comradery and lifelong connection to our department and college.
